Celebrating its 20th anniversary, Collect is the premier international fair for contemporary craftsmanship and design, held in the stunning setting of London’s Somerset House.
The fair is a unique opportunity for collectors and craft enthusiasts to discover exceptional works by international artists. Visitors can browse and buy artwork from 40 specialist galleries, representing over 400 pioneering artists from around the world.
Exceptional works made in the last five years by living artists and designers are exhibited. Each gallery curates its own exhibition and orders new pieces, especially for the fair. The craft disciplines cover ceramics, glass, lacquer, art jewelry, precious metals, textiles and fibers, wood, paper and non-traditional materials such as resin and bone.
The fair offers art consultants, interior experts, collectors, museum curators, design professionals and the general public an unparalleled opportunity to discover and invest in contemporary craftsmanship.
Collect Open is the fair’s platform for pioneering artisanal installations of artists and collectives. Fourteen artists and collectives were selected by a specialized advisory panel for the 2024 fair. Chosen for the ambitious nature of their projects, they are tasked with broadening their creative practices or challenging material, social, political or personal perceptions.
Marita Setas Ferro, Founder and Creative Director of Marita Moreno, and also sculptor, is the only Portuguese selected in the list of 14 contemporary artists/ artisans that was released this week.
