The textile sculptures of Marita Setas Ferro, founder of the Marita Moreno brand, will be on display at Future Icons Selects, the largest showcase of contemporary crafts. The event takes place between 16 and 19 May, during London Craft Week.
'Things from Nature' is the transversal theme to the presentation of the Portuguese creative, which is based on the representation of natural marine elements such as corals, anemones, starfish and shells. The sculptures, with appealing texture to the touch, are made with yarn of wool, acrylic, polyester and polyamide, being the filling of 100% recycled polyester.
"The event takes place in South Bank, London, and has more than 50 artists from a multitude of craft disciplines, covering several continents," he shares in a statement. It is expected to visit private collectors, interior designers, architects, brands and galleries, "looking for new names in ceramics, sculpture, bio materials, embroidery, furniture and fine Crafts".
